The Outer Worlds Nintendo Switch Review
Overview
The Outer Worlds is an open-world, action-oriented RPG. It was developed by Obsidian Entertainment. The game was released on October 25th, 2019, with outstanding praise, on PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox, and, of course, Nintendo Switch later down the road. The game runs at 30 frames per second, but sometimes it can dip drastically, which is not great. Outer Worlds on the Nintendo Switch still comes with all the DLC that was released on other consoles, such as Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos. My favorite of the two is Peril on Gorgon, which takes place on an asteroid. In my opinion this game has great value, such as the weapon variety, the places you can explore, and the people or creatures you can fight. Voice acting is well done for the NPCs. The voice acting, in my opinion, has always been done well in Obsidian Entertainment games.
Gameplay and controls.
There are many options within the main menu for controls, such as Gyro aiming where it might be easier to aim your weapon. For the core game play there is a main mechanic where you can slow down time to place better shots from your gun. Another mechanic can be Flaws which are negative attributes that players, can chose to accept in exchange for a perk point. There are many different flaws such as Dialogue has been a big part of the games that Obsidian Entertainment have made such as using skills such, as Persuasion, lying, and intimidation. When traveling around the solar system you can unlock fast travel points for your ship. The Outer Worlds is quiet resemblant to other games like Fallout. If you want to play as a mass murderer, a good person, or a thief etc.
Story
The story of the Outer Worlds focuses on a star system ran entirely by Mega Corporations. These Mega Corporations are usually corrupt and riddled with problems the big corporations are Auntie Cleo, Rizzo, Spacer's Choice. Your main goal is to find the missing colonists abroad a ship that never reached the star system. While having help from Phineas Welles he is sort of like a mad scientist but wants to help you along your adventure. You can either side with him and take down the corporations or chose not to. There are many side quests to take on as well, helping people in the towns or people that work for the corporations. One side quest could be getting rid of badnits in a smaller town or area.

Final Thoughts
Overall, I would say it is an 8/10 experience with lots to do and a great value for money. The DLCs are well worth it for the amount of content that they add. If I had to recommend this game to friends or family, I would say it is somewhat like Fallout: New Vegas or Pillars of Eternity 2.
