Top Free games for Nintendo Switch 2025

Hello Everyone, Today I will be showing you my top free games for the Nintendo Switch. Let's start off with Asphalt 9; it is a free-to-play racing game on Switch. There are tons of cars to choose from, from Mustangs to muscle cars. Also, there are tons of places to race, such as the Midwest, Rome, and Scotland.

You can even race with friends in your very own club.

 Next is Dauntless. The game is a free-to-play Monster Hunter-type game. There are various monsters to fight and gear to craft from their parts. However, I used to play this game, but it's been a while since I played it, and there have been some changes people do not like.

Another free-to-play game that is somewhat popular on the Nintendo Switch is Warframe. Warframe is a free-to-play MMORPG where you play as a space ninja called a warframe. There are many different Warframes to choose from with different abilities. The movement is very fluid and fast-paced, with many different weapons you can choose from to kill your enemies. The game runs all right on the Nintendo Switch. I recommend playing it on PC, though. However, the game Warframe can be very grindy to get new loot and cosmetics. Warframe is still getting major updates even though it came out a decade ago, such as the 1999 update, which came out last year.

One last free-to-play game I recommend is Fortnite, which is still popular to this day. Fortnite, for those who do not know, is a battle royale-type game, where the last person alive wins. However, over the years it has grown to be more like Roblox, such as a game engine/game creation tool. There still is the classic battle royale mode as well as the OG mode with building forts to eliminate your opponents. Fortnite also has game modes like Rocket League, Guitar Hero, and Among Us. Most people who play Fortnite would say the game runs quite well on Nintendo Switch, even better on the Nintendo Switch 2!
