2025 My thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2!

Hi everyone, I know it has been a while since I uploaded a Nintendo Switch game review. I am trying to work on this blog again and get back into the rhythm of it. However, today I wanted to talk about the Nintendo Switch 2 and why I think it is a waste of money right now. Back when it was announced on January 16th, 2025, I was excited at first; however, that soon turned into dread upon hearing more details. Such as the price right now, which is $449, which is crazy to think about. When the Nintendo Switch OLED came out, it was priced at $350, which is a lot cheaper; however, it is not in 4k.  The second main complaint I have about the Nintendo Switch 2 is that a few games are doing the game key card idea, which in my opinion is so brain dead. Why Nintendo is going down this road is beyond me. I would also like to say that Nintendo is starting to price their games at different prices, which is not helpful for consumers. Such as Donkey Kong Bananza, which costs $70, not to ment...

The Legend of Zelda Links Awakening Nintendo switch Review

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening was first released on the Game Boy. On June 6, 1993. It has recently got a remake for the Nintendo Switch. The game retains many of the original aspects of the game. The story for Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening does not even include Zelda, Impa, or mostly anyone from Hyrule. It takes place on Koholint Island, where Link gets shipwrecked and must find the instruments to wake up the Wind Fish. This is a basic Zelda game for the mainline series. There are weapons like the boomerang and the hook shot as well as the bow and arrow. The game on the Nintendo shop costs around $60, and sometimes it will go on sale. Here are the pros and cons of the game.

  • Pro: The game has a massive world to explore on the island.
  • Pro: There is amiibo support.
  • Pro: There is a master mode, which is a harder difficulty for a challenge.
  • Pro: There are hidden seashells to collect, which will reward you.
  • Pro: The boss fights are really detailed and fun gameplay-wise.

  • Con: The game is pretty short; it took around 15 hours to beat the game.
  • Con: Some puzzles can be confusing without a guide.
  • Con: I would say, in my opinion, the music is the weakest part of this game and not really memorable.

If you want to see some good gameplay and guides, I would recommend checking out a channel on YouTube called Austin John Plays. He does a bunch of guides and helpful videos on Zelda, Pokémon, and more.

Zelda: Link's Awakening review: This beach adventure looks 2019, feels 1993 | Ars Technica

Overall, I would say this game is an amazing remake of the original. I would recommend this game for young kids or people who want to experience the remake.
