2025 My thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2!

Hi everyone, I know it has been a while since I uploaded a Nintendo Switch game review. I am trying to work on this blog again and get back into the rhythm of it. However, today I wanted to talk about the Nintendo Switch 2 and why I think it is a waste of money right now. Back when it was announced on January 16th, 2025, I was excited at first; however, that soon turned into dread upon hearing more details. Such as the price right now, which is $449, which is crazy to think about. When the Nintendo Switch OLED came out, it was priced at $350, which is a lot cheaper; however, it is not in 4k.  The second main complaint I have about the Nintendo Switch 2 is that a few games are doing the game key card idea, which in my opinion is so brain dead. Why Nintendo is going down this road is beyond me. I would also like to say that Nintendo is starting to price their games at different prices, which is not helpful for consumers. Such as Donkey Kong Bananza, which costs $70, not to ment...

Animal Crossing New Horizons review

Animal Crossing New horizons is the latest entry in the series for the animal crossing games. In Animal Crossing New horizons you start off on a deserted island with a few villagers. Eventually you will start making a small but happy community filled with shops and villagers. There are ton's of things to do in this game such as catch bugs, or catch fish. Also there are new features such as crafting with the DIY recipes. There are new ways to collect items with a new service called nook miles. Nook miles are collected by doing chores (e.g. planting flowers, catching fish, etc) which later redeemed for special items.

Not only that you craft items but now you can start terraforming you're island. However there are some notable npc's missing such as Brewster and Tortimer. Hopefully these npcs will be added in future updates. For a game that costs $60 it is 100% worth it. Also there is a lot of replay value; you can collect around 400 villagers. Here are the pros and cons.

(here is some gameplay.)

  • Pro: Tonnes of furniture to collect, including seasonal items.
  • Pro: The game looks beautifully created with very small details to find.
  • Pro: There are over 95 songs in the game to listen to.
  • Pro: A lot of NPCs return, such as Wisp, Celeste, and Kicks.
  • Con: Can be fun for the first few months, then you might get burnt out of the game.
  • Con: There are not many special item sets in the game. Such as the Froggy chair or other set items. (However, there is the Mario set coming in 2021).

Overall the game is really fun and can be a blast to play with friends and family. I would rate it 8/10.
