2025 My thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2!

 Hi everyone, I know it has been a while since I uploaded a Nintendo Switch game review. I am trying to work on this blog again and get back into the rhythm of it. However, today I wanted to talk about the Nintendo Switch 2 and why I think it is a waste of money right now. Back when it was announced on January 16th, 2025, I was excited at first; however, that soon turned into dread upon hearing more details. Such as the price right now, which is $449, which is crazy to think about. When the Nintendo Switch OLED came out, it was priced at $350, which is a lot cheaper; however, it is not in 4k.  The second main complaint I have about the Nintendo Switch 2 is that a few games are doing the game key card idea, which in my opinion is so brain dead. Why Nintendo is going down this road is beyond me. I would also like to say that Nintendo is starting to price their games at different prices, which is not helpful for consumers. Hollow Knight Switch review

 Hollow Knight for the Nintendo Switch is a classic fun indie game. Developed by Team Cherry, the game came out in 2017. It was also kickstarted as an action-adventure game. The game was praised as a hit success and even was at the Game Awards in 2017. The game story is about a knight who must travel across an infected old kingdom. Also, the creatures in Hallownest are bugs. That's the basic plot; there is more, but I would recommend watching the whole story on YouTube. Now on to the review: it has amazing hand-drawn art, like the game Ori and the Blind Forest.

The game has many secrets, like finding hidden grubs in jars. As well as getting mask shards to upgrade your health. There are also in-game achievements like speedrunning the game or playing the game with one life. What I like about Hollow Knight are the tight controls and fun bosses to fight. How much does the game cost? It costs around $15 USD. Some cons I would have to say are it can be difficult and can sometimes get lost at first in the world.

Other than that, I would recommend the game if you like 2D platform action games. If you enjoyed Ori and the Blind Forest, you would like this game. My rating would be 8/10.
