2025 My thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2!

Hi everyone, I know it has been a while since I uploaded a Nintendo Switch game review. I am trying to work on this blog again and get back into the rhythm of it. However, today I wanted to talk about the Nintendo Switch 2 and why I think it is a waste of money right now. Back when it was announced on January 16th, 2025, I was excited at first; however, that soon turned into dread upon hearing more details. Such as the price right now, which is $449, which is crazy to think about. When the Nintendo Switch OLED came out, it was priced at $350, which is a lot cheaper; however, it is not in 4k.  The second main complaint I have about the Nintendo Switch 2 is that a few games are doing the game key card idea, which in my opinion is so brain dead. Why Nintendo is going down this road is beyond me. I would also like to say that Nintendo is starting to price their games at different prices, which is not helpful for consumers. Such as Donkey Kong Bananza, which costs $70, not to ment...

Splatoon 2 Switch Review (2020)

Splatoon 2 is the sequel to Splatoon on the Wii U. The game has new weapons, subs, and specials; it also has a brand new campaign. There is even a DLC called Octo Expansion. Which is a must-buy for anyone who completed the campaign. For multiplayer this time around there are new game modes. Like Salmon Run, Clam Blitz, and other game modes. The game will get patches from time to time. Even though this is a 3-year-old game, I believe it is still worth it. Sadly there are no more spalt fests in 2020. There is amiibo support and gyro controls. I believe that the player base is still strong, and you can always play in local play. So how much does this game cost? It costs around $50. Now on to the pros and cons.

  • Pro: Can run at a solid 60 fps also 1080p docked.
  • Pro: tons of replay value such as getting weapon badges online.
  • Pro: Story is fun and visuals look great.
  • Pro: tons of gear to get and weapons to try out.
  • Con: The game is mostly a online experience.
  • Con: sometimes there is online lag or connection issues.

Overall the target audience is kids and anyone who likes a shooting game that is easy to play. My rating is 10/10. Overall, a fun experience for the Nintendo Switch.
