2025 My thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2!

 Hi everyone, I know it has been a while since I uploaded a Nintendo Switch game review. I am trying to work on this blog again and get back into the rhythm of it. However, today I wanted to talk about the Nintendo Switch 2 and why I think it is a waste of money right now. Back when it was announced on January 16th, 2025, I was excited at first; however, that soon turned into dread upon hearing more details. Such as the price right now, which is $449, which is crazy to think about. When the Nintendo Switch OLED came out, it was priced at $350, which is a lot cheaper; however, it is not in 4k.  The second main complaint I have about the Nintendo Switch 2 is that a few games are doing the game key card idea, which in my opinion is so brain dead. Why Nintendo is going down this road is beyond me. I would also like to say that Nintendo is starting to price their games at different prices, which is not helpful for consumers. Super Smash bros Ultimate Switch review

Super Smash bros Ultimate is a fighting game like no other. There are around 70 playable characters and more with dlc. There are plenty of stages and things to do in the game. Some of the game modes are online and offline play there is even a campaign called world of light. In this game mode world of light you have to battle fighters and collect spirits. Spirits are sprites of Nintendo characters, and others you can level the spirits up to strengthen your fighter. The game comes with dlc there are mii costumes you can get like Cuphead and Sans from Undertale. Also there is a fighter pass were you can get dlc fighters and dlc stages and music. The game costs around $60. Here are the pros and cons to the game.


  • Pro: There is a lot of replay value such as a new game plus for the campaign or the thousands of music songs from different games.
  • Pro: The Game looks amazing in docked mode and handheld it runs around 60 fps and is 1080p docked and handheld 720p.
  • Pro: exciting game play with items and other settings like being big size or being heavy.
  • Con: sometimes can take a while for dlc fighters to be announced 
  • Con: Online play can be very laggy and slow.

Overall, one of the best fighting games for the Nintendo switch in my opinion. The target audience is for little kids or people who never played a smash bros game before. My rating 10/10.
