2025 My thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2!

 Hi everyone, I know it has been a while since I uploaded a Nintendo Switch game review. I am trying to work on this blog again and get back into the rhythm of it. However, today I wanted to talk about the Nintendo Switch 2 and why I think it is a waste of money right now. Back when it was announced on January 16th, 2025, I was excited at first; however, that soon turned into dread upon hearing more details. Such as the price right now, which is $449, which is crazy to think about. When the Nintendo Switch OLED came out, it was priced at $350, which is a lot cheaper; however, it is not in 4k.  The second main complaint I have about the Nintendo Switch 2 is that a few games are doing the game key card idea, which in my opinion is so brain dead. Why Nintendo is going down this road is beyond me. I would also like to say that Nintendo is starting to price their games at different prices, which is not helpful for consumers. Super Mario Maker 2 Switch review

Super Mario maker 2 is a game where you can create Mario levels to any creativity. There are different themes for levels and different game styles. A few game styles are Super Mario world and Super Mario bros 3 and more. Some of the themes are ground, Forest, underwater and more. There is a story mode where you can play levels from Nintendo and there is even a mode called Ninji Speed-runs mode where you compete to get the fastest time on a course. Some people even can make music levels like Queen we will rock you and other cool stuff. How much does it cost? Super Mario maker 2 costs $59.99 Now to say about the game's  pros and cons.
 
  • Pros: There are tons of new bosses and Enemies from other Mario Games. 
  • Pro: New power ups and terrain types like slopes.
  • Pro: New gadgets like the Snake block, and Swinging Claw. 
  • Pro: Super Worlds now you can make Mario games out of courses.
  • Pro: You can use the touch screen to help you make  levels. 
  • Cons: There are sadly no more  amiibo costumes anymore.
  • Con: Can't filter out Super Worlds from how many levels there are.
  •  Con: Not enough sound effects like music and animations. 

The target audience would be people who love Mario games and want to experience something new. Or even people who grew up with Mario in their home. My overall rating would be 9/10. It is really fun creative with the game play even though there are flaws.
