2025 My thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2!

Hi everyone, I know it has been a while since I uploaded a Nintendo Switch game review. I am trying to work on this blog again and get back into the rhythm of it. However, today I wanted to talk about the Nintendo Switch 2 and why I think it is a waste of money right now. Back when it was announced on January 16th, 2025, I was excited at first; however, that soon turned into dread upon hearing more details. Such as the price right now, which is $449, which is crazy to think about. When the Nintendo Switch OLED came out, it was priced at $350, which is a lot cheaper; however, it is not in 4k.  The second main complaint I have about the Nintendo Switch 2 is that a few games are doing the game key card idea, which in my opinion is so brain dead. Why Nintendo is going down this road is beyond me. I would also like to say that Nintendo is starting to price their games at different prices, which is not helpful for consumers. Such as Donkey Kong Bananza, which costs $70, not to ment...

Skyrim Nintendo Switch Review

Skyrim is an action role-playing game that is based in a fictional land named Skyrim. It has rugged mountains and deep forests as well as lots of cities. There are dangerous creatures like dragons and vampires, even giant frostbite spiders. It also takes place in medieval history, so there are crossbows and battle axes and more weapons. The game takes place after Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, which was the last game released on March 20, 2006. How much does it cost? The game costs around $50; it will sometimes go on sale.

Now for the review for Skyrim on Nintendo Switch: it has some awesome features; a few are amiibo support, gyro controls, and HD Rumble. Here are all of the pros and cons of the entire game.

  • Pro: Even though the game came out on November 11, 2011, the graphics still hold up to this day.

  • Pro: The game sounds amazing, from all the way to the creatures to the music.

  • Pro: Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch will have all of the DLC: Hearthfire, Dawnguard, and Dragonborn DLC.

  • Pro: There are so many side quests and spells and skills to learn to always keep you busy.

  • Pro: you can take it anywhere on the go, like a coffee shop or airport.

  • Cons: There is not a good inventory UI for managing your gear.

  • Cons: There is no mod support for the Nintendo Switch, unlike the Xbox and PS4.

Skyrim' On The Switch Is A Bit Of A Surprise

(This here is a side by side comparison from the PS4 to the Nintendo Swtich)

The target audience would be fans of the Elder Scrolls series or Bethesda games with fantasy elements. My rating for the game would be 8/10. Overall a very good port for the Nintendo Switch system.
