2025 My thoughts on the Nintendo Switch 2!

 Hi everyone, I know it has been a while since I uploaded a Nintendo Switch game review. I am trying to work on this blog again and get back into the rhythm of it. However, today I wanted to talk about the Nintendo Switch 2 and why I think it is a waste of money right now. Back when it was announced on January 16th, 2025, I was excited at first; however, that soon turned into dread upon hearing more details. Such as the price right now, which is $449, which is crazy to think about. When the Nintendo Switch OLED came out, it was priced at $350, which is a lot cheaper; however, it is not in 4k.  The second main complaint I have about the Nintendo Switch 2 is that a few games are doing the game key card idea, which in my opinion is so brain dead. Why Nintendo is going down this road is beyond me. I would also like to say that Nintendo is starting to price their games at different prices, which is not helpful for consumers. Mario kart 8 deluxe Switch review

Mario kart 8 deluxe is the 8th game in the franchise so far. There are ton's of characters and new courses and new items in the game. One cool mechanic in Mario kart 8 deluxe is anti gravity parts of the track. Is that Some of the popular and new characters are the inklings and villager (boy and girl) also Isabelle! There are ton's of fun items to use in the game a few are the super horn, feather, and Piranha plant. Also there are fun unique game modes like Balloon battle and Shine thief, even coin runners,  There is also the grand prix that can be played on 50cc 100cc 150cc and 200cc. The game sometimes will cost around $47. The replay value is huge. Here are the pros and cons to the game.



  • Pro: The game runs at 60 fps in 1080p when docked same with handheld. 
  • Pro: The Game looks amazing with the textures and graphics and very bright lighting. 
  • Pro: The game comes with the dlc for free.
  • Pro: The music sounds very clear and crisp.
  • Pro: There is motion controls and amiibo support. 
  • Con: Sometimes online lobby's can be small.
  • Con: There are only 8 battle stages.

 Overall, the target audience are people who like the Mario Kart games and veterans of the Mario Kart games. My rating is 9/10.
